Mutual Art Collective

Mutual Art is a queer and of color run Art Therapy collective that offers free services to the community. Rooted in the philosophy of Mutual Aid, we believe that Art Therapy should be accessible for everyone.

Our organizational model is voluntary, where collaborative exchanges of resources and services for common benefit take place amongst community members so as to overcome social, economic, and political barriers to meet common needs.

Among the organizers within the collective are Art Therapists (training or licensed), Educators, and other Creatives that wish to give back into the community by facilitating free activities that are opened to the public.

These activities can look like group clayplay sessions, collective coloring, or other offerings depending on the specialty of the organizers. They are hosted in community gardens, centers, and other public forums. The collective is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.

This mission statement is a living document and is subject to collective consensus.
